Is checking up on the background of "Child's Play 1988 is how you discovered the existence of Robert the Doll?

I read in mysteifflife.blogspot.com RTD was originally a doll from Steiff toy firm. The reason he is so large (3 ft. is its believed he was a store display). He was not made by a a Caribbean servant . There is no curse , voodoo or otherwise. These facts don't necessarily mean that none of what you read isn't true. It means some of it isn't real.
If you're interested I recommend reading "Robert the doll" by David Sloan, An expert on the toy. Afterall it was originally a toy.
