eddie capudo's death

Why didn't Chucky tell Andy to run from the scene of the explosion? Or did he want to frame Andy? What was the point of that? Also, when Andy was at the police station why didn't he say that Chucky's real name was CLR so maybe there would be a possibility they would believe him.

I think at that point, chucky didn't care what happen to Andy. He obviously didn't know he needed his body at the time. He might have been staying with him because he was a highly desirable toy, and if he was found by someone else, something bad might have happen to him as the doll. If Andy would have mentioned his real name, they probably would have said he heard it on the news. Just my $0.02

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought, as well. Chucky at that point thought he was immortal and could never be damaged. If Andy was taken away, he could just kill Karen and move on to another family just as easily, repeating that process forever. Then he found out he could be hurt and needed Andy, which was why he had to scramble to get to the kid in time before it was too late.

the scene of Andy running and ducking in an enclosed spot during the explosion is cut from the theatrical version. Holland had mentioned that Andy was Chucky's means of getting around Chicago unnoticed. Chucky probably didn't want Andy to get physically hurt, but having Andy take the blame for it is not surprising.

during that interrogation scene you can kinda see that Andy is upset about taking the fall. what i think kills his integrity is when he places the blame on Chucky. the detectives there think the boy is just troubled and has this very wild imagination. giving out Chucky's full name probably wouldnt make a difference. though for all i know there was such dialog exchange, but it was taken out of the film's final cut.

though as you can see Detective Norris and his reaction to when Karen says it was Charles Lee Ray, he instantly thinks shes just using what she saw on the news as a means of excusing her boy's issues.

I thought Andy did tell the detectives Chucky real name was Charles Lee Ray or maybe it was his mother he told that too or the child psychology guy Andy was talking to at the police station.
