I would've loved a crossover with the Problem Child series

Back in the early 90s, both Child's Play 2&3 and Problem Child 1&2 were made by Universal Pictures and both starred evil redheads (the doll obviously being more evil than the kid) and they should've just made Child's Play 3 a crossover with Problem Child and released it in late '92/early '93. It would've been the 3rd installment for both franchises and it could've worked and predated Bride of Chucky by about 5 or 6 years. I think the story would've been that Chucky tries to mail himself to Andy Barclay but accidently ends up in Mortville where Ben, Junior, Annie, and Trixie live and tries to possess Junior this time and almost kills Ben. Chucky manages to give Big Ben a fatal heart attack (much like Colonel Cochran in the actual 3rd film of the series) and both Junior and Trixie set out to destroy Chucky after their father ends up in the hospital after Chucky attempted to kill him. At least a crossover would've been better than that awful Problem Child 3 we got a few years later. At least they eventually got John Ritter in Bride, though. The funny thing is, he was originally going to be one of the guards at the factory, during the beginning of the third film, but was that scrapped and he would go on to do Bride, seven years later.

It's silly, but totally something I would've been into circa 1990-whatever. I always found the parallels between the two films rather amusing.

Heck, even John Ritter appeared in both series!

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.
