the movie is good but dice is just hilarious in this one every scene with him is great, you gotta admit that. that was a really great performance in the early days of his career.

Im *ovA* here now!!!
shareThe two scenes that bust me up with Dice in them are when he's dancing with Lea Thompson to Robert Palmer's "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On" and he grabs her by her hips and starts going, "DOOZZZH! DOOZZZH! (sp?)" and his whole rant about when he was driving the limo which wraps up with him saying, "...they get out, I don't see no money and the worst part is the Vin Man is left with a very frustrated...MR. PEABODY!"
He was classic in this!
I agree, Dice is the best in this movie, even
without being profane.
I also think the Vin Man stole the show! I love these two parts, in addition to the other bits already named:
1) When Vinny is "learning" how to be sensitive.
2) New Years Eve, with the little puppy.
I watch this movie just to crack up at Dice. All his scenes are great.
shareIt's too bad he didn't pursue this sort of acting role as his career progressed - he was charming and totally sympathetic in this film (also much more attractive than his "Diceman" persona). Unfortunately he decided to play up the misogynistic pig-like Diceman and this ended up deep-sixing his career. Too bad - could've been different for him.
shareI agree - he was great in this.

Wait a minute... who am I here?
I thought Dice was pretty good in 2018's "A Star is Born" as Lady Gaga's father. He was definitely funny in this movie though!

Agree. While I believe that Clay is a total tool in real life, he did a wonderful job in this admittedly undemanding role. As someone pointed out, perhaps if he steered his career in this direction instead of the path he chose, he might be relevant today.
My favorite scene was when he was slam dancing the chickens before tossing them in the pot.
Just once, I'd like someone to call me sir without adding 'you're making a scene' ~H Simpson
He was sweet in this, and so flippin' attractive! He was quite the hottie back in the day. Loved the visuals when Stacy was reading his letter: the chickens (hey, who doesn't love a guy who can cook!), him doing his 'move' after he tried the suit on (and the clerk just rolling his eyes).
This movie was such fun! I had totally forgotten about it, and then caught the last half this morning. Now I want to watch the whole thing.
I agree with all of the above comments, he was adorable and oddly sympathetic in this role. I always laugh at the part when he yells at the hotel guy because "The Pretend You're Sensitive Handbook" didn't work.
"A guy like me cannot pretend, do you understand? I'M FROM JERSEY!"
And the "DOYZHH, DOYZHH, DOYZHH" always cracks me up!
Contrary to what a great many uptight critics may have printed back in the day, Dice is a talent. And in whatever film he's in, he owns the scenes he's in. This is just an early example of that. In his latest, Blue Jasmine, he steals the show as well. People just got too up in arms and in Dice's term "hawdy tawdy" when it came to his lewd crude stage act as the Diceman. An act that in today's stand up world wouldn't get near the amount of criticism and hypocritical backlash that it did then. Dice paved the way and influenced many that came after him. Even in the films which were admittedly bad, like Ford Fairlane, Dice commanded the screen. Can"t wait to read his autobiography coming out.
shareDamn right he is! Diceman rules. If you haven't seen his instagram, you should check it out. It's hilarious
shareHe has his niche. In this case it was a good fit.
