"i can't believe i'm playing golf... golf... golf... sounds like you got something stuck in your throat doesn't it?", exactly, the only positive thing i could find about this movie was the rants from quaid, the first movie is such a major well known comedy, somehow this sequel completely fades, i've never even heard it mentioned even though it has as famous cast as the first, it isn't like it's a b movie released directly to video, it's mainstream, my experience has been it airs a lot, easy accessible, yet it feels like they are just profiting on the name and hasn't put any effort in the jokes, i always like watching caddyshack (1980), rodney and the angry guy from the twilight zone episode "the lonely" completely steals the show, and murray a riot contradicting chase's snobby part, strange chase weren't funny in either even though it was during his prime, the role he played was just unlikable, this sequel i couldn't even get hooked on as a kid, but didn't think anything of it, though re watching it now i realise how bad it actually is, and there's a lot of bashing on this board, the hookable soundtrack of the first absent, the quotable lines... this weirdly mixes in drama, it's also sort of a remake even though titled 2, obviously aykroyd is suppose to play the murray kind of part, mason taking on rodney's, and strange they put chase at the centre of the cover even though he plays a much smaller bit in this. here's something you might want to know, even though rodney doesn't return for this, years later he made a golf entertainment piece, i can't remember anything about it but most likely i enjoyed it more than this, i view it as sort of a caddyshack 3, released on video with rodney cracking jokes on the golf course, it's titled "guide to golf style and etiquette".

from this barren grounds,
all whats gone before gather,
over the horizon,
away from dark and gloom,
at mansion rich field bloom.
