Dan Aykroyd's voice...

What was up with Dan Aykroyd's voice in "Caddyshack II"?! In fact, what was Aykroyd thinking making a cameo in this movie to begin with?!

reply

I guess they figured that an all star cast would make this movie good. Uhhh..Wrong!!

cause they shocked his balls in a past war. he mentions it during the hot dot stand scene.

He was obviously trying to go for the dumb but lovable character that Bill Murray was in the original.

Just goes to show that he is nowhere near as good an actor as Bill Murray as boy did he mess it up.

Completely ruined the entire movie IMHO.

Ruined it for me too. Ackroyd's performance is hard to watch. You feel embarrassed for him, like what was he thinking??

reply

He is hilarious in this. He is ACTING, and based on how upset you all are, he did a pretty darn good job!

Keep your eye on the fruit....Keep your eye on the fruit....Keep your eye on the fruit!

That would make 3 Christmas' I've saved, vs. 8 that I've ruined; two were kind of a draw..

It's a fun performance.

I thought he was hilarious. Great character.

Can't believe this movie get so much hate...weird

I like Dan Aykroyd but he was never the best at impressions or characters that required a voice with a pitch different than his own. The annoying falsetto voice he used in this felt like the standard default voice someone would put on when trying to hide their own.
