"Let's *beep* sometime"

Why does Millie tell Annie that Crash's hand-written note says, "I want to make love to you -- (signed) Crash," when Crash writes, "Let's *beep* (some)time?" Is this an editing error? Did the filmmakers think the audience couldn't see what Crash wrote? I'd like to think Millie sees the romance in Crash's straightforward suggestion, and she creatively edits the note to make it more palatable to Annie.

I didn't see it as a goof, I saw it as that the director figured the audience couldn't see what "Crash" wrote. I think that Kevin wrote what he wrote cause he was just trying to be funny.

That's exactly how I always perceived that scene.

"You met me at a very strange time in my life"

Not sure about the film makers but I guess she didn't want to be inapporiate by reading what it really said
