What the hell happened to the director? Did he die? He made a lot of great cheesy sci-fi/horror movies back in the day, but just stopped all of a sudden. Maybe he'll have a big comeback one day (assuming he isn't dead or something.) Anybody know?

I suspect he probably has, but I don't know. Looks like he had an interesting career making entertaining schlock, starting with "Pleasure Palace" in 1973. "The Brain" is the only one of his films that I've seen, but I'd love to see more.

He Also Did The 1981 Horror Classic "Bloody Birthday" Which I Love.....

I've never seen "Bloody Birthday," but if it has Jose Ferrer, Julie Brown and Susan Strasburg, it sounds worthwhile. I'll check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!
