Best Henenlotter Movie!!!!

This is by far Frank Henenlotter's best work. Although I thought Frankenhoooker was a close second. From The opening "freakout" scene when the old couple cant find Aylmer, right up untill the end. THIS MOVIE IS *beep* PURE GOLD. I own a large horror movie collection, and this is in my top 3 favorite movies.

also, make sure u see FRANKENHOOKER

Hi, i also own hundreds of horror movies and i'm a massive horror film fan and this movie is my NUMBER 1 of all time, i love the atmosphere, the characters, the offbeat nature and gore, and Elmer of course, excellent little creature, Frank Henenlotter's best movie by a mile.

reply

Yeah I own over 500 horror movies...

and this is in my top 10.

i also am a horror aficionado (or at least like to think of myself as one)
i have yet to see brain damage, i already own Henenlotter's other classics, but am having finding a copy of this film. i was wondering if anyone could tell where i could pick it up.
also - what special features are there? how much is it? and is it worth it (i've bought other films that came recomended, but turned to be some what lack luster -- Singapore Sling for example)

Yeah Brain Damage is definitely Henenlotter's best... Basket Case is great too, though, as is Frankenhooker. He's one of the best, most underappreciated horror directors of all time, and I wish Bad Biology would come out already.

Yea,I've seen all of Henenlotters movies, with the exception of the upcoming"Bad Biology",and this is definately his defining masterpiece.I love the atmosphere he created in this movie. The opening freak out scene sets it off brilliantly.Everything about this one is sublime!I recently put it on my que at blockbuster, just waiting for it to get here.

I love this film as well, My favorite Henenlotter. Don't get me wrong I love all his work even the much dispised Basket Case 3, but this film is pure gold.

I liked Basketcase the least (still good). As for this, I used to prefer it over Frankenhooker but now I'm not so sure. Frankenhooker has really grown on me. I still might choose this one in the long run but Frankenhooker is damn close behind.

I must admit I really enjoyed this one. I think I'm going to purchase a copy for my DVD collection. "Brain Damage" definitely lived up to it's cult status!

I love Basket Case and Frankenhooker is good also. This is something in between IMO. Not actually very good but still entertaining. Basket Case is absolutely in my top 10 with many "real" classics just because of the visual look and the plot but this just doesn't cut it. Too much everything and I even got a bit bored during some parts. Brain Damage is far from Henenlotters best works.

It's definitely Top 2 for me. Sometimes I prefer Basket Case and sometimes this one. I enjoy all of his movies but the first two are definitely the best two.
