I believe it was dishonorable discharge...if your fellow soldiers didn't beat the life out of you first.

It was often a dishonorable discharge and a year of hard labor in a federal prison.
They mention Levenworth the military prison in Kansas.

Bullsh!t. There would be a court-martial, followed by a prison sentence and/or dishonorable separation from the service, if a guilty verdict was returned. Since only one soldier in WWII was executed for desertion in the face of the enemy (a much more serious offense than homosexuality) I'd like you to cite one source that supports your bullsh!t claim. Can't name one? I thought not. Liar.
