yellow teeth

I really feel bad about posting something as trivial, stupid and weird as this, but I really, sincerely want to get a second opinion from anyone out there, so I gotta ask...

I just got a big, amazing new TV. Suddenly I'm seeing all sorts of details in familiar movies I never noticed were there before. One thing I noticed in THIS movie was that Bette Midler had yellow-ish teeth. It wasn't a color problem on my screen--everyone else had white teeth, whites in their eyes (well, except Lily Tomlin, whose eyes were bloodshot!). It was just Bette Midler with yellow teeth, and I really couldn't stop looking at it, it was sort of grossing me out. Anyone else notice this...?

Maybe huge TVs weren't such a good idea after all.

Maybe you don't notice the bigger, more important issues in life as well. Why would anyone post such a statement after watching one of the most cleverly written, acted and produced movies, is beyond me.

Widen your horizons. Just because in 2008 television shows require all of their actors to get cosmetic teeth doesn't mean that everything done before that time was only good if the actors teeth met your standard.

Your huge tv may not be such a good idea if it has limited your perception.

Well that's all I'm saying. Did I ever say that I don't enjoy this movie? No. I'm saying, I saw things I didn't see before and I'm sort of sorry and it makes me wonder about whether big TVs are so wonderful after all. If you don't have a big high-def TV you don't know what I'm talking about and there's really no reason for you to post if you're just going to be nasty. I'm just curious if anyone else noticed or it was just me. Thanks for taking the time anyway though.

i have always noticed how yellow her teeth look in this movie, but please remember this was released in 88, well before the whitening craze. im sure she brushed, but i am also fairly certain she smoked which would explain those buttery looking choppers.

reply

Yes, I have noticed it, but not really a problem with me.

I'v enever noticed that, but if I did, it wouldn't really bother me. When a got my big-screen, the first thing I noticed were the newscaster's eyes going back and forth while they were reading off of teleprompters!

Hee hee hee, well that was just my whole point, noticing things you'd never seen before. Overall I really like having a "movie screen" in my home and if sometimes you see "too much" it's worth it!

OH MY GOD you saw too much? Her yellow teeth? I am so sorry... are you ok? Shall I call you an ambulance? It must be quite a revelation for you seeing a normal person, you should quickly flick back to American Idol to get your fix of bleached teeth, straightened hair, boob jobs and lipo suction.

2+ years late but LMAO at this thread

I also noticed the yellow teeth and thought it was a little distracting. I find it funny how many people responded on this thread basically saying you should not have asked this question. haha

Whatever you do don't watch Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest. Her teeth look like Indian corn.
