This movie is the worst kind of pyschological projection
I do not deny that racism exists on the Right side of the political spectrum, but I assert that it exists on the Left as well. In fact, for every well-known "right-wing" racist attack, there are multiple instances of "left-wing" racist attacks. For those who have been under-educated or mis-educated, I present a few historical facts that might have been omitted by a left-leaning public education system:
1. The sin of slavery was perpetrated by whites and blacks upon blacks. The main motive for blacks was tribal enmity. The main motive for whites was money. This is hardly only a "right wing" motive.
2. Entrenched racism has historically been more closely tied to the Democrat Party (left-wing) rather than the Republican Party (right-wing). Stating the obvious, the largest group of abolitionists before and during the Civil War were Republicans (Hello Lincoln!) and Christians. The slave side was championed by the Democrat Party. Even during the Jim Crow years, it was southern Democrats and union workers who made up the biggest proportion of KKK members. It is a little known fact that while Democrats held a majority in Congress during the vote on the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Republicans voted for it with a far greater percentage than did Democrats. Democrat Robert Byrd, anyone?
3. Throughout modern history, almost every instance of genocidal racism has come from the Left side of the political spectrum: the National Socialists of Germany, and the Stalinists of the U.S.S.R. Even today, there is a growing anti-Semitic movement among the radical Left which, in the West, has chosen to side with the Palestinians - and more broadly, Islam - against the Jewish state of Israel.
4. Compare the political posts on Leftist sites like dailykos and moveon versus Rightist sites like redstate or biggovernment. There are far more racist rants on the Left due to the percieved influence of crooked "jewish bankers" within the market. Leftists consistently say, "jewish bankers" rather than just "bankers."
5. Even today, it is the Left which specializes in identity politics. Where Martin Luther King wished for citizens to emphasize "content of character", the Left foisted Barack Obama upon us as a chance to vote for a black man for President - never mind the fact that he was completely inexperienced and perhaps not blessed with the type of executive skill needed to do the job. Is it racist to vote for someone BECAUSE OF the color of his/her skin?
I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea.
