Anyway, to others that wanna talk truth and reality, even in the 50s/60s the majority of southerners didn't mis treat 'blacks' as they off the wall movies depict.
'Talk' and attitudes do not equal murder. I grew up in the north and I can tell ya, I was called 'whitey', was beaten for being a 'white boy' and there were sections of the city, I as a free tax payin' American could not walk through because I was white. Do I hate black people 'cause of this ? Of course not. Every town has its loud mouthed, tough buy bigots - be the white or black.
This movie should be seen by anyone who isn't a far left whack job. You will learn what goes through the minds when they think of rural white American. Paranoid and delusional. Hell, if it was truly like this I would agree that guns should be confiscated !! But its not. Watchin' this movie will help you understand the mentality that wants to take away citizens legally owned guns.
This movie is disgusting. I sat through the first 30 mins, mouth agape, in disbelief at what I was hearing/seeing. What sh*t writing, the dialogue is so lame that I can't believe anyone reading it would have anything to do with the movie. Winger and Berringer are either whores or morons (or both).
Movies like this will spur a new generation to re write history yet again. I bet panson was born either around the time this movie was made or later - now he/she things he/she is an expert on racism in the USA. To anyone that thinks the 80s were even remotely like this, is shockingly ill informed. Ever hear of disco ? That was the late 70s ... hip hop ?? The 80s ... If you'e not a kid panson, you owe an apology to those you attempted to mis lead.
And for the record, yes. many of my best friends ARE 'black' (a word I can't stand having to use still).

I know for a fact you NEVER lived down South, where black Americans were treated like trash and dirt....and they did talk like that you fool; I know...I saw it FIRST HAND when we traveled down South in the 60's to help organize Civil Rights Rallies...They also killed and hung blacks as well...you probably denied that the Holocaust ever existed as well. Of course, you'll also lie about the Klan and the David Dukes having exist as well. I'm 66 years old, so you don't bs me, with your pathetic LIES and DISTORTION of history, you pathetic LIAR.

Lynchings were an unfortunate chapter in American history, but more often than not they were acts of vigilantism rather than random killings of blacks. (A fact often overlooked.)
