Hypothetically speaking, and without using any of the original actors (possibly not even the same director), if this movie were to be remade today (2013), and I am not saying that it should be, who would you cast in the main roles? Here's mine:

Beetlejuice - James Franco
Adam - Jesse Eisenberg
Barbara - Natalie Portman
Lydia - Chloe Grace Moretz
Charles - Greg Kinner
Delia - Kristen Wiig
Otho - Eric Stonestreet
Juno - Jessica Walter

Excellent choices! I know this was hypothetical, but you KNOW Depp will be in there somewhere... But if Keaton comes back as Beetlejuice, then ...where? What do you think? Sorry to go off topic!

As for my casting, I have to really think that over haha

Im not sure about eisenberg or franco,other than that its good. Michael keaton needs to come back as beetlejuice

After seeing him in "Killer Joe," I'd like to see Matthew McConahague as Beetle Juice. Not sure about the rest.

I like your suggestions! Kristen Wiig, Jessica Walter, and Eric Stonestreet are especially good choices. And I can even see James Franco pulling off Beetlejuice.

The only ones I'd change are Adam and Barbara and maybe Lydia. Maybe Kiernan Shipka as Lydia, Cheyenne Jackson as Adam, and Katie Holmes as Barbara.

Since this is a Tim Burton film, I see Helena Bonham-Carter as Delia and Johnny Depp as Beetlejuice. Def see Eric Stonestreet as Otho!

It seems as if most of you view Lydia as older than she was. When Beetlejuice came out, Winona Ryder was 17, half the age Of Zooey Deschanel now and ten years younger than Kat Dennings' current age.
