Dialogue (May contain spoliers)

one of my favorite scenes contains a play with words and phrases and it's between CC and John discussing her and Hillary.

CC: "I don't know what to do without a best friend. "
John: (pause) "You got me."
CC: (pause) "It's not the same."

I've always read this scene as a double meaning. When John says "you got me," I either read it as "you have me by your side" or "Beats me." and when CC says "it's not the same," it suggests that it either means "that's very good and all but you're not Hillary" or "things will be different from now on whether or not we become friends again."

anyway, I just love movies that make you think twice each time you watch it. what's some other instances of double meaning dialogue? only other I can think of is when CC and Hillary are arguing in the department store and CC talking about jealousy tells her "you're so jealous you can hardly breathe" which foreshadows Hillary's illness.
