One of only two movies to make me cry

I can't watch this movie, it makes me cry sooooo much!

And yet, I love it! -______________-; I guess I'm hopelessly cursed to flip through the DVD and only watch Otto Titzling and Oh, Industry.

I know! I watched it last night and just cried and cried. I'm not one for crying at movies either. Something about it just triggers emotion though. I love it. :)

Read the book if you havent' already. That will make you cry to. This film breaks my heart everytime I watch it!!!!

reply

i cried too everytime i watch this movie - and this is coming from someone who rarely cries! :)

reply

There aren't many movies that make me cry either, but Beaches is definitley at the top! I can watch it over and over again and I'm never tired of it!

reply

Whats the other film that makes you cry? You said Beaches is:'One of only two movies to make me cry'

The first time I saw this film, I was in college and my roomie and I saw it at the Student Union movies they had every week. As we left our room, she grabbed the box of kleenex, and I asked her why. she told she had seen it before and just wait.

well, we go to the film, and there are about 200 girls and 4 guys in this auditorium/theater/classroom..and when we got to the point where Hillary is dying, every girl in the room was in tears, and each of those guys looked like they would give a thousand bucks to leave...I will never forget it, I laughed out loud (and received a few dirty looks, cause no one realized what I thought was funny)....

It is good to be open-minded, but not so much so that your brains fall out!

Dumbo. It's the mother/kid relationship. (Long story that I don't care to share)

We'll meet again, when both our cars collide

I also cried when I watched the movie with a good friend of mine years ago. And cried again when I watched it on tv some time back. Must get the dvd.

Btw, I also cried during "Pretty Woman", not at any Richard Gere-Julia Roberts scenes but when Julia was saying goodbye to her friend (Laura San giacomo) towards the end of the movie.

thats rendom

reply

U mean that's rather unusual ? It's the friendship thing - always gets to me. "Memphis Belle" didn't make me cry but, yeah, it's one of my fave.

reply

Yes... Beaches, La Bamba, and Ghost for me.

I took me soooooooo long to be able to watch this movie without crying! Then my friend came round one night to watch it and I was crying so much! It's so sad!

But I cry at quite a few films...lol.

I'm not indecisive, I'm open minded

reply

I never cry at movies....i mean NEVER....i too have actually only cried at two movies, this and Out of Africa for some reason. How could you watch Beaches and not cry????

R.I.P.: Reese, Angel, Darren, Chad, Kyle, Jake, Mitch, Keith, Ryan, David
This was the first movie that my wife and I saw on our very first date-and, to show our long-term dedication, we named our firstborn after a character in the film. Pretty sad, huh?

reply

Just got done watching it on tv. Man it makes me cry everytime and I also am not one to cry, but this one, My Dog Skip and Simon Birch get me.

This movie makes me cry too hence why I haven't seen it in such a long time cause I know I'm going to cry again! Finding Neverland does that to me as well! :o)

reply

I bawled for an hour the first time I watched this movie.
It completely tore me up. It's SO good.
The other movie the gets me just as much is Steel Magnolias.
However, I'm extremely emotional & could probably cry right now ....

I am such a man when it comes to showing my emotions, but this movie gets me teary-eyed! so sad.. and I always hated the part when Victoria says something like, "What about my cat? Can she live with us?" SO sad. This is one of the VERY few "chick flicks" that I quite enjoy.

I think I usually start up when CC says her memory is long and Hillary says "I'm counting on it".

Compelling.Brilliant.Beautifully acted. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114436/

I used to watch this movie with my mother all the time. beautiful movie, made me cry every time.

my mother passed away 7 months ago and I had a piano version of Wind Beneath My Wings played at her funeral. now I can't even hear that song without crying....I haven't tried to watch the movie since. Maybe soon...
