Would a true best friend really miss your wedding if you were THAT close? That always seemed wrong to me.

When I really timeline the movie they didn't spend that much time together to even get that close. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it. Do you really grow a friendship through letters, enough to leave your child with them instead of a close Aunt?

They lived together for a few years it seems so that's time to get close. I agree about missing the wedding. I guess CC's career was just starting to take off and maybe she thought it would affect her career.
