Back in the day my mom used to say that me and my friend reminded her of CC and Hillary. I was CC because Iliked to wear ratty old clothes, and my gumboots, and didn't have a lot of money. I wasn't poor, but didn't have loads of money. My friend was Hillary. She was the one who family was wealthy, and had everything. I didn't have red hair though.

Did you ever feel jealousy towards her wealth?
I remember when a friend of mine would call to complain about how her mom would make her eat dinner even if she didn't want t to. Yes this was a thing, she was small and skinny and ate so very little, not sure if it was an anorexia thing since back then it wasn't well known. Anyway, she would end up flushing the food down the toilet and clogged it once. My point is that in the meantime, my alcoholic father could barely make rent and I envied her food.
