What I'd like to know is, if they all came from the ship that landed in Southern California, and they all learned to speak English in America, why, then, does Terence Stamp's character speak with a distinctly British accent?

My only guess would be that the teacher who taught his particular group of Newcomers must have spoken with a British accent, and he, along with the rest of his classmates picked up on it, and came out speaking like they're from London.

He's far too posh to come from London. More Home Counties, I'd say.

Yeah, he plays a great bad guy in this.

He reminded me of General Zod (Superman 2)for a strange reason. I just can't pinpoint it.
