Mandy Patinkin best role ever !!

I never really like this actor, but in this, wow, he's amazing and did one hell of a character !!

I only really knew him from his role as the sword-duelling warrior in The Princess Bride. I remember seeing his name come up in the opening credits for Alien Nation but didn't work out that he was playing George until quite late in the film, as I had forgotten about his name. He played a very nice character, with a kind and gentle nature.

Completely agreed! This is my favorite among his roles!

He does do a good job in this movie, creating a likable and memorable character.

Agreed....a good father and husband. Polite but there was a lot more to him as well. He hid the pain/shame if his race being slaves and was grateful for his freedom and his way of life.

Nope. But he's had many wonderful parts he played beautifully so it sets high standards. He's good in this and the part is interesting but it's not his best by far.
