I used to watch the series in the 90s, but just caught the movie recently.

Is the drug that is the main target in the movie ever referenced in the series? It's too long ago for me to remember, but one would think other newcomers would be interested in producing that again.

I just watched the movie, but haven't seen the show in years. But from what I remember, it was a lot less hard than the movie. It was "made for TV" if I remember correctly.

The drug was never part of the series.
