Why was it called 'Nico: Above The Law' in some regions?


Was there another Above The Law movie? Did someone think that it was a smart move to throw his name in it, perhaps thinking that it would become an iconic action hero with sequels, similar to Rocky or Rambo?

It was just titled 'Nico' in UK

That's the one I remember. But I never realized that was his name in the movie, I always thought Nico just meant fuckhead in some other language.

This makes me think that they were expecting a franchise similar to Rambo.

Everyone knows 'First Blood' should have been called Rambo.
