All about the Bartender!

Hey, all you CIA Bartender-ophiles, check this out:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronnie_Barron

Turns out our man was a New Orleans-based session keyboard player, and here's a list of some of the records he played on:

And here's a copy of his 1994 solo album, available on Amazon:

Sadly, he died in 1997. RIP, Mr. Barron... and remember, next time you hear an old Eric Burden song on the radio, it might be our favorite CIA Bartender on the keys!

Wow, that's him alright. Somebody should add this info into the IMDB page for him. After seeing him in this movie, I instantly recognised him in Code Of Silence which I watched a few months later. Was surprised to find out about the lack of films he'd been in, and the lack of information about him. Oh well, at least we can all get a little bit of closure into the mystery of the good old CIA Bartender!

Pretty impressive list of musical giants.

Do you suppose if Barron were still alive, Seagal would have him playing keys in his blues band? Maybe they would have reenacted the classic 'Hey, don't do me ugly' bit in between songs.

I would soooo pay to go see those two in concert... especially if Ronnie kept calling Steven a "fackin Italian puke!" right before telling him he'd never be the man :)

OK, but what was the deal with the character - he seemed to have run that bar for quite a few years - Nico knew him; it seems unlikely that he had been a CIA Agent all that time; the question is, how did he become part of Zagon's team?

Did Zagon just bring him along with him b/c the bartender knew Nico?
