O mplication of abuse at the church scene

At the scene when Pam Grier and Steven Seagal go down to the basement with the priest, Seagal says 'i haven't been down here since i was a kid' and then the priest looks awkwardly to him. Anyone noticed it?

Not necessarily abuse. I took at as meaning that it was an area which would have been off-limits, so the priest looked at him like he was probably up to some mischief.
