Was there ever a War of the Worlds convention?

As other genre shows had and still have conventions in their honour, I was wondering if the "War of the worlds" tv series ever had one? If so, does anyone know if any video(or now DVD) footage exists from it?

Also, if the above answers are no,has anyone seen any of the series regulars appearing in any of the other conventions stateside? Just curious.....

There were no conventions that I am aware of, though I am sure that sci-fi and comic book conventions in general had something related to War Of The Worlds at the time of it's initial airing. Other than that, I just don't know of anything at all.

To my knowledge there was only ONE WOTW convention which I think was in 1990 (the headliner was Philip Akin who was barraged with questions about Richard Chaves) in Rochester, NY.
