I quite agree. Upon reviewing the DVDs, I am almost completely certain that the show was intended as a sitcom. In this sense, it's a spiritual ancestor of Buffy.

Thought it was a good show.. much better than a lot of the other crap that's on these days, and comparing this to Buffy, well, that's just wrong, dude...
