How often


did the classic 1950's Martian flying machines go into action during the series, because I'm sure I remember trailers for it with a lot of aerial shots of them by both daytime and night, and yet most synopsis suggest that its actually largely just the Martian creatures rather than the machines.

We see the original ships in the 2 hour pilot, 'The Resurrection;' in 'Eye for an Eye' we see the head stalk of the ship, and in 'Dust to Dust' we see an older version of a Martian ship that hints the aliens came to Earth before the '53 invasion...

Does that mean we never get to see them fry anybody?

Not really.

Although, technically, in 'Eye for an Eye' the aliens themselves are fried {the blast ricochet-ing back to the aliens who attempt to take out Ironhorse}, thanks to Blackwood and his team...
