For those who dont know or might be confused Superboy is not Superman as a teenager. Superboy is another character in DC comics with the same ablities as Superman just a younger less experianced version like Kid Flash or Aqualad. Superboy appears in the original TeenTitans by DC comics and in the Doomsday and Return of Superman comic series. Superboy the TV series is based on that same character from DC comics not Superman it all boils down to this because Superman and Superboy are so similar they both have the same Friends,Family and Enemies
so its easy to confuse the two they way I remember to tell the differance is Superboy is of a younger generation and usually is accompanied by Superdog.I hope that helps those out there who have misequated Superman with Superboy.

Clearly you have no idea what the Silver Age of comics is.

Superboy WAS Superman as a teenager, but in 1986, John Byrne revamped the Superman mythos and got rid of Superboy stating that Clark Kent travelled the world in his youth and became Superman in his mid-twenties.

Nevertheless, the Salkind team (from the Superman movies) saw the chance of making some money off of this character so they made a TV Show.

The Superboy you are talking about IS a separate character, but he wasn't even invented when they made this show!
