Isnt it true the costume used on this series for Superboy was based on the John Byrne design from the "Man of Steel" reboot series of the 1980s?

Theres an article in a magazine sometime from around when Gereard Christopher got the role, the costume was upgraded (mainly the cape) to look more like "The Man of Steel" costume. The suits used in this series are derrivative of the ones used in the Reeve films with slight alterations.
