Superboy music score by Kevin Kiner

I don't know about you, but Kevin Kiner's music score for the Superboy series, 1988-1992, is enjoyable, if a bit repetitive, and to me, it sounds like he was emulating the style of Hans Zimmer's successful "MIAMI VICE" music score of the 1980s. It's so '80s, isn't it? The entire look and feel of the series is so '80s, and so is Kevin Kiner's music score. It's a bit weak on the brass, and orchestral elements, but strong on trendy music styles of the '80s, like synth keyboards, vibrato drumbeats, etc.

It's nowhere near the stature of John Williams' SUPERMAN score, but it's not bad either. It's great to enjoy it all again 20 years later on the new WB DVD of season 1.

The music changed after season 1-it lost most of the synthesizer and sounded much closer to the John Williams version by season 2-4.
