Anybody else catch Roseanne's subtle insult to Bonnie?

Wow... Roseanne really offended Bonnie under the table.
When she and Bonnie were talking after a fight, Roseanne tells her that After her sister, and now that Crystal is back to normal, Bonnie is her third best friend. While this seemed like a compliment, it really was Roseanne telling Bonnie that with Crystal's behavior returning back to normal, Bonnie bumped from second to third. What a nice thing to say to your friend. :-(

Does anyone remember Myspace and how everyone ranked their "Top 8" friends? Lol. I always thought that was so stupid and people would get easily offended about it. That's what this made me think of.

That was the worst. I did use Myspace for too long for that very reason.

I get where you're coming from, but it was just Roseanne being a little too revealing in her words. Honestly, she's known Jackie her whole life obviously, and with Ann Marie and especially Crystal, they go way back to their teen years. So technically, it makes sense that Bonnie wasn't likely to crack those top spots. Should anyone say it the way Roseanne did? No. But it was just sitcom, and true to life that someone could say something potentially harsh by accident, when being totally honest and no ill will intended.

She also said she was her 3rd best friend 'tied' with Ann Marie and Nancy.

True. Bonnie took it well, as would I, but it was still said poorly. Although it sounded like a compliment, after it sinks in, you begin to think, "Hey... wait a minute!".

I think it was also just used as a setup for a joke, however sloppy. It was funny how Roseanne said: ...you're my third best friend—tied with Nancy and Ann Marie.
