"Say, pizza sounds good. You guys up for pizza?"

The fact Dan was feeding himself and his friends and the girls has me thinking one pizza - even one extra-large pizza - wasn't going to be enough. Of course there are pizza places that make 24" pies and larger (!).

There are some pretty good local restaurants in a lot of small towns that do things that you would not believe including making very large pizzas. They can't be compared to chain operations in that respect. Now if Dan said he was calling Domino's....................

reply

Well Domino's sucks anyways. 

I always laugh at movies or tv shows where people order ONE pizza for dinner. Even if its just my husband and I, we will order 2. plus a side!!

Haha, I love it. So true! Well, there WAS the one episode where Roseanne and Dan go off to Vegas, and DJ has to make a sundial... conveniently, they had (TWO) pizzas—one was eaten, the other retained most of its circular shape—so they could pull off the joke of using it as a sundial. Ironically, even then it wasn't believable: Three kids don't devour the (second) pizza too??? As you implied: C'mon!

Then there was the episode where Dan and Roseanne order a pizza right after having a steak dinner....

I mean really, who does that?! Lol.

My husband is very close to Dan's size at his heaviest. I can't imagine him eating more than four pieces of pizza. O O

reply

Not to fight ya, but I'm one third the size of Dan and can eat a whole pizza by myself lol. To be really specific, a Medium. Of course I can eat more than THAT, but it would just be greedy. I'm saying a Medium would fill me up and I wouldn't feel overstuffed at all.

Really? In my experience, one 14" pizza (standard "large" size) is more than plenty for two people.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

reply

Right? My mom and I get a Domino's pizza some Fridays, and if we're really hungry we'll eat the whole medium-sized pizza ourselves and feel bloated afterwards. Last time we only ate half of it (plus the parmesan bites - those are so good).

One pizza for the Conner family would be ridiculous, just because there's 5 of them and sometimes Jackie, but one pizza for two people should be more than enough. Especially since one slice is actually a serving size even though everybody always eats two.

I used to be cheap and just get Domino's in college, which led to the habit after college too. Then I finally knew better: I went to a local mom and pop place that put something vital called TLC into their pizza! Now I can't go back to Domino's. In fact, I was tempted by a deal that Domino's had this past year so I decided to take a stab at it again. BLECHHHH! Their pizza tastes like SLUDGE. It's garbage. Never again. Not even to save a measley buck lol.

reply

Pizza's were bigger back in the day! But for that many people they probably would need two!

Wow,I mean really.I ordered pizza the other night and I can't get over how much smaller they make pizza than they used to.
