Dan and Jackie

Am I the only one who loved Dan and Jackie's relationship? Especially in the episode where Jackie has to come help with the kids. As much as they pretended to annoy each other, Dan always seemed so sweet and protective of her.

I think they were smart to let their relationship grow slowly and evolve over the series.

There were times when he couldn't stand her and times when he was very protective of her.

it added a very interesting dynamic to the show.

I loved it too. I still get goosebumps when, upon learning Fisher has been beating her, he grabs his coat and walks out the door. You know exactly where he's going, and exactly what he's going to do.

Dan and Jackie's relationship was one of the best on the series even when things got ridiculous in the later seasons.

I love the friendship between Dan and Jackie! Sure, in the beginning, they got on each other's nerves, but they never disliked each other. They started to become friends and then grew to love each other like brother and sister.

This is why "Language Lessons" always sticks out to me. It's like 2d or 3d ep of the show, but it's established by the fact the girls are entering their teens that they've known each other at least that long, yet they act like total strangers and Jackie is Roseanne's new bestie from work, not her sister. Ok, I get it's an early ep setting up the series, but seriously?

It doesn't help that they admit the cast went out several times as a "real family" to mesh and bond in the first few weeks of rehearsals, so that just adds to the oddity of LL.

Then a couple years on, "An Officer and a Gentleman" tells us he thought she was cute back in HS when he first started dating Roseanne. yeahbuhwhat?
