"Dan's Birthday Bash"

Does anyone else think the narrative to this episode was forced? I mean the whole "Dan felt bad because he didn't fight" thing felt overdone. When you look at what happened; That ass at the Lobo obviously wanted to pick a fight with Dan from the start. Dan tried to ignore it until he couldn't, then shoved the guy and put up his fists to fight. The other douche who initially wanted to fight so bad just stood there, regardless of Rosie yelling at Dan not to. If the other dick really wanted to fight Dan at that point there was nothing stopping him. I thought Dan came out of it looking like a rose, but that's not how they played it. Felt false to me, IDK. What do you think?

I never liked that episode either. Dan's birthdays always get messed up. I like how Roseanne didn't want him fighting someone bothering him, but she was always trying to sick him on teens (Becky's boss and Mark) and gays (Leon).

Look at posters fighting here if you want an answer, lol. People fight for dumb reasons all the time. Dan probably wasn't thinking Cleary intoxicated and a little thin skinned as it got too him instead of shrugging it off.

if nothing else, it gave us a first hand glimpse into Dan's past.. most people would have left it alone but days later, it was still gnawing at him.. and then that punch at the end was a thing of beauty.. hell even in slow-mo, it looked real.

with that 360 pirouette and slumping to the floor, Eric Allen Kramer really sold it.
