Theme Song Lyrics?

So, remember when the theme song was given lyrics in the last season? What are your thoughts? Did they fit, or was the theme better left as musical only?
Also, who added them? I assume it was the same people who composed the song, or did they hold some sort of contest? I heard a rumor it was the latter, but I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm?

I thought it definitely fit the show well. There's information on it in the trivia section.

i liked the lyrics but i wouldnt want it on every episode. it fit the last episode better because it was sad.
