Times Roseanne put someone in their place that you enjoyed the most

Roseanne was a hit with the public for a reason, she said the things everybody thinks and she could get away with it. So what were some of your favorite times she told somebody off?

An instant top 10 moment, her telling off ol' needle butt after Todd got hurt.

I also liked her arguing with the devil's advocate in Satan, Darling.

Her yelling at Todd and DJ during their sleepover to stop making noise.

Her warning to Fisher after he beat up Jackie.

The maggot from Chicken Divine (family effort).

AHHHHH! That was scary!

Good post!

When Roseanne tells off Darlene at the bookstore, saying that (Darlene) is just like her at her age—that she also thought she knew everything at that age—so true: that's the hallmark of youthful ignorance/arrogance.

A point she made to Brian ("the little maggot") during her final standoff with him: "Listen, kid. You're too young to understand this but sometimes you end up doing things that you never thought you'd do—just to get by." VERY wise and true. And it only comes with age, I agree.

When she gives that long line against racist white people, when DJ doesn't want to kiss the black girl in his play. I know some viewers think this episode was preachy or whatever, but that line was great: "...anyone who doesn't think so is just some banjo-picking, cousin-dating embarrassment to respectable white trash like us."

When she makes fun of David for spying against Darlene to keep her from going back to Chicago: "Well, thanks for the beat from the street, huggy bear." Then: "And you're SPYING on her! Which normally I like, but not the way you're doing it." LOL. Classic line.

At the IRS office !

Same, but because when she was asked her name, all sudden she wasn't so brave. One of the few times she got what she deserved.

When she confronted Molly about lying about the whole concert fiasco.

When she broke Fisher's TV- "Oh, I really hate myself for that."

Kathy Bowman: And what attitude is that?!

Roseanne: That one, right there. The one where you think you're better than everyone else, when you're just some uptight little (whatever) that paid WAY too much for her house.

To Mark: I'm not just some pain in your butt anymore... I'm your mother-in-law! You're family now. And you've seen how I treat my family.

Becky: I'm married!
Roseanne: Yeah, so am I. So, are these like your wedding jeans?
Becky: it didn't really matter. We just wanted to get married.
Roseanne: It mattered to me. I didn't want much. Just a band (and whatever.) Oh, yeah. And I wanted to be there.

I have to add my ultimate favorite of someone putting someone else in his place- but it was Fred, not Roseanne who had the line.

Fred: Let me tell you something. If I ever do become a member of this family, the next time you break your pelvis having sex, you are NOT staying at our house!

When she sent the pro-birthers away from the clinic and to her mother's house :D

"you just stabbed your kid in the eye with your 'save the children' sign."

AHHHHH! That was scary!

Her 'glass whorehouse' speech to David's mom.

Maybe it's not the best example, but I like the part:

Darlene: High school is just learning lies and telling lies.

Roseanne: Yeah, then how come you ain't getting any 'A's?"

reply

To the naked neighbors - rips open her shirt..."What color are my eyes!?"

When Roseanne told off David/Mark mother

When Roseanne told Molly off about coming in late from the concert
