Dan and Roseanne look their oldest and worst in season 1. They look their best and youngest in season 9. Dan never aged at all. At best, we can say he looked the same; but he certainly lost weight and looked better in following seasons. Roseanne began look to look progressively better in each subsequence season.
Dan looked his best in late Season 6. He thinned down a LOT and it was more believable when characters referred to him as a great catch.
I agree, and I've said it before. His hair was also at its best, which helped lol—it was wavy and robust. He was very handsome, for a "bigger" guy here.
Lebowski started filming the week after Roseanne wrapped. He's wearing his beard in the last couple episodes.
the early s6 beard is from his run as the titular "FAUST" on stage in LA at the time. He was pulling double duty on stage and filming for at least a month then.
I thought they looked terrible in I believe season 2. Or whatever season that was she had that really short red hair and had those weird Harpo Marx curls.

Yep. Dan also had those baby new year's curls sometime during Season 1 as well.
I think she looked best in season 6 and 7....season 5 she was transforming and she looked like she had obviously just had work done. Especially the 'tooth or consequence' episode. I also agree with the poster that said you would never know season 1 Roseanne was the same person as season 9 Roseanne. She had an amazing plastic surgeon when all was said and done!
Considering Roseanne's appearance changed so drastically between the first and last seasons, it's difficult for me to assess how much she actually aged. I disagree though that she looked her best during S9. That season, for me, is 4.
I thought Dan looked as old as he should have by the end. I actually thought that Bounty paper towels beard aged him, as beards generally do IMO. I don't watch that season much, but I remember him being fatter than ever at the end, which seemed especially apparent when they did the morphing transitions at the beginning.
Roseanne didn't age... she transformed!! I would never think those two would be the same person. I guess she looked "better" but not for the role she was playing. Can hardly blame real life Roseanne though, with all the criticism she was getting about her looks. I think that's why she got surgery in the first place.
John Goodman got VERY fat in those last two seasons, especially in the episodes where he was "cheating" on Roseanne. That scene with him and Jackie in the kitchen was very hard to watch. He looked so unhealthy. Also that heart attack storyline seemed eerily real considering that Goodman himself was probably at a huge risk.
