In episode "beckys choice " when Chip parents came for dinner , why Michael Ho - or hawain Mikahila Ho was so funny ??

I don't think there's really much to get. It just sounds funny because it kind of rhymes. Don't read too much into it.

I thought it was some kind of reference to something from 80' which I'm not familiar with :)

I thought it was John Goodman's comedic reactions to being annoyed in an awkward situation. It was a very realistic depiction of a boring and awkward conversation with people who are unaware of how boring they are.
