The plots of the bad movies were dumb and predictable. "Mad scientist creates something, it goes bad". "Monster appears, scientists work to stop it". "Teenagers behave badly, it ends badly". The plots were simple, you KNEW the 'stud' in the movie was going to get the girl, you KNEW the monster would be stopped, you KNEW the bad guys were gonna lose.
