Only film they lampooned I ever saw in a theater was...
..."Laserblast" in 1978.
shareI saw these:
401: Space Travelers (as Marooned)
408: Hercules Unchained
502: Hercules
906: The Space Children
1013: Danger: Diabolik
My dad was a big fan of psychotronic movies, the cheesier the better, so whenever one hit the OC-Anaheim area theaters in the late 50s and early 60s, he would gather us up and go.
I was too afraid to see
319: War of the Colossal Beast
809: I Was a Teenage Werewolf
so I stayed hom with mom while my older brothers and sisters went to see them.
One day our car was stalled in front of a drive-in showing
523: Village of the Giants
so I guess that sort of counts.

Cool.
shareNone for me but I've seen plenty in the theater that could have easily qualified to have been riffed by the MST3K crew. A few that come to mind are "Wild, Wild, West", "Speed Racer" and "Battlefield Earth".

I had seen all the Godzilla and Gamera films on TV, before MST3K spoofed them, and several other b&w horror films. I know the crew has since done movies I saw in the theatre, as 'Rifftrax' 'Film Crew' 'Cinematic Titanic' etc., but I really haven't kept up with them since MST3K officially ended.
- Oh, SOMEbody asides me is gonna RUE this here particular day...
Wow. In a theater. It's good to know we have older fans on the board. I'm 33 myself, so I can only say that I watched them on TV prior to their airing on MST3k. How old are you?
shareDanger Diabolik and This Island Earth
shareWell, back in 1998 I rented Werewolf (1004) from my local video store (remember those?) just a month before it ended up on MST3K. Eek!

I hate to admit it, but I saw "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians" at my local theater when I was a kid. It was just as horrible even then. What a stinker!
