Very Underrated Sitcom

I have many old tapes of Just the Ten of Us and I recently watched them again. I do not understand why this show is so underrated. It was a very funny show and I loved the characters and the premise of the show. I think if this show was given a chance it could have been one of the better shows of that time. It deserved a chance like many other shows got. This show is as good or as better than Growing Pains, which I love as well. I think one of the biggest mistakes in television history was cancelling this show before it really had a chance to kick off. At least they could release it on DVD but they won't even do that. I guess lovers of this great sitcom are out of luck. There is no reason why they can't release it. Since there were so few episodes they could just release the whole series in one box set. I think it would sell well. I have never been so upset about a show being cancelled so early than this one.

The last season was actually the strongest. The episodes were getting funnier as the series progressed. Why ABC cancelled this show is beyond me. I do not care what kind of "political" crap is the reason. The characters were much more rich and interesting than 80% of the crap on television today. I guess good family television shows are just not what ABC had in mind back then.

Yes, I don't think this show was given a fair chance by the network. It was doing well in the ratings, it just wasn't a favorite. It was like Gilligan's Island in the 60's, where the network didn't care for it but audiences did. It got cancelled too.

I remember watching the show when I was really little and later on USA. Looking back I think Just the Ten of Us was a better family sitcom than other shows like Family Matters and Step By Step.

From what I understand is that ABC did not really care for this show even though it was getting good ratings when it was on for the 3 seasons it was on. I liked the show personally myself and hope this will come out on DVD box set.

Well here is an example ok Buck Rogers was only on for 2 seasons and they came out with a one comeplete DVD box set which I own and I do not see why they cannot do that with Just The Ten Of Us.

I am still waiting on other shows from the 80's to come out but they have not yet on DVD box set. I have mentioned them on a few the the threads on this board already.
