I seem to remember it right around 1990 or so on the USA network. If I'm not mistaken, it would come on either before or after an episode of The Hitchiker.

Yeah, I remember watching the show when it was shown in the New York area on channel 9 (before it was taken over by UPN). I remembered it was shown late at night, 11PM or later. The first time I watched it, I had to force myself to stay awake. After a while, I adjusted.
Strength of mind, force of will...

shareIt wasn't TCM - it was TNT. I remember watching it as well - really bad - buy Freddy cracks me up lol
shareIt was on fox 29 when i was a kid in the late 80's. I didn't have cable at all, and it was on in the early evening {i remember dinner during it frequently}.

yeah, it was weird that ABC would carry this show...seem to remember a political satire called DC Follies comin' on after or before, not sure. also, weird was when i saw the tv spot for Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, right before the intro of the first episode. that was 88, right, because Nightmare 4 had just come out in August.
shareYeah, I grew up in philly, too, and remember watching it all the time. But for some reason I remember it being on later then that...like in the 10pm area? Then again, I was ten years old...maybe it's cause I went to bed earlier or something?
I don't mean to impose, but I am the Ocean.
I watched it pretty regular when I was around 10 or 11 (1988 or 89). It came on in the early days of Fox Network and aired on Friday or Saturday nights in a horror-themed schedule with New Twilight Zone, Monsters, Friday the 13th:The Series and 2 or 3 horror movies. I even entered and won a "Freddy's Holiday Party Contest" once. The prize package had party hats, invitations, a Nightmare on Elm Street 4 VHS and poster... I'm pretty sure I was the only kid to have a Freddy-themed birthday party! Just a weird little tidbit I thought I'd share.
shareI recall it being broadcast on the local NBC affiliate on late Saturday nights (technically Sunday mornings) following SNL (back when it was actually worth watching) from 1:00-2:00 am during the 1st season (1988-1989). The following year, it was replaced in its time slot with "American Gladiators".
Believe me...I'd have much rather preferred to see the 2nd season of Freddy!
I watched the entire 1st season, but my channel dropped it before the second season. If anyone has copies of the second season I would really be grateful for it!!!

I grew up in Philly, too. It was on at 5:00 on Saturdays on Fox 29. I remember specifically watching an episode during dinner because it was one of the few times I could eat in my bedroom.
shareI remember watching this show with my brother when I was 6 or 7 (we lived in San Diego at the time) and I would always tell people there was a tv show and no one believed me! So I finally looked it up and I'm glad to see it's not a figment of my imagination. AOL is introducing an on demand channel next month that will be showing this show! You can check it out at http://television.aol.com/in2tv
Does anyone know where I can get this show on DVD?
