Yeah, I mean why did the UK get a box set first? The series was created here in the states, thus WE should be the ones to get a box set first. They have their own shows and all those shows NEVER get a box set here before they do.

where can I find the UK box set?

Warner Brothers owns the rights. Just today (May 8th 2007) TVShowsOnDVD.com posted a long list of shows that were asked to execs whether they would be released or not. Freddy's Nightmares was one of dozens of shows asked about. It turns out that there are "no plans" for FN, currently of course.

Yea, I bought the Infinifilm DVD. I was under the impression that it sold well. Hmm.

"Did you buy the Nightmare On Elm Street: Infinifilm DVD? Apparently not many others did either. If the first and most respected film of a franchise won't sell, then certainly the least respected part of the Freddy phenomenon won't either."

Although I agree with the logic behind it, you also have to think that Nightmare came out on VHS, then on DVD, then in the remastered DVD, then as part of the box set too, which means that anyone can find it for 5 bucks at Walmart or even cheaper if you have a good used movie place in town. This makes deciding to spend the money on yet another release in Infinifilm a tough one.

This TV show on the other hand was only ever released as a couple of 2 episode tapes and a UK 3-ep disc, so there's no alternatives other than the highly touted fan set to find. There's not even any other eps that are out of print and simply hard to find, they just don't exist. This seems like a gold opportunity to produce a "Limited Edition" boxset for this one; you keep your production numbers down which also makes it seem more collectible, and if it's a hit you produce more. It doesn't cost that much to make a DVD (like .17 per disc or so?) and I really think it would sell like crazy.

Why would anyone buy it?? New Line seriously have no idea of supply and demand. In the case of the Nightmare series it acutally hurt the franchise. Look at how overexposed Freddy became. Books, dolls, board games, and squirt toys please. Getting off the point here. New Line released Nightmare on Elm Street, then it was released by Video Treasures, Then they released a two vhs set with deleted scenes and alternate endings (which is the ultimate since these scenes have not been in any other version), then a newly remastered Vhs, then the Dvd box set, then it was sold individually on dvd. And now on infinifilm. They just flood the market, so of course no ones gonna buy it when its everywhere except the hardcore fans. Look at Freddy vs Jason! I have 4 copies. You can find FVJ everywhere. Every used box of Dvds I bought had a copy of it. New Line needs to release fewer dvds and get a demand for them, then release newer versions then sales would go through the roof.

That UK set that they released that supposedly sold poorly, IMO, shouldn't gauge whether or not a complete boxset (or even a single season) is worthy of being released. I probably wouldn't bother buying that three episode compilation DVD either. Why would I? It had only three episodes. That's incomplete and anti-climactic. Where's the incentive?
