OK, so with the new film coming out next year....
...can we finally talk about releasing this on DVD? I mean, when the remake of Friday the 13th hit theaters, they had already released a couple of seasons of the TV show on DVD which, P.S., did not even involve Jason Voorhees in the slightest. At least this series allowed Freddy to act as sort of a "Twilight Zone" narrator. I am already prepping myself for all of the original movies to be re-released (probably the first in blu ray at least) ala Friday the 13th, and this is after I have cherished my Nightmare DVD box set for about 7 years. If I am willing to drop the duckets on new DVDs of the Nightmare series as long as they offer improved image quality and special features, then I would be willing to shell out for a DVD boxset of Freddy's Nightmares on DVD, and I don't think I am alone.
