You have a point...I've only seen two episodes that aired on Chiller so far and both went an entirely different direction at the half way point.
I don't know if this was the plan all along, or if they thought they were going to get a half hour time slot but then the studio gave them a full hour and they had all these 30 minute scripts to work with.
It is great and you will love it too guy! I have not seen this in like 20 years when the show was on and then once they canceled it I never saw it in syndication again! Which I am not too happy about that!

It's been going unnoticed without any mentions for several years now yes, so no surprise you didn't know about it here. The show although not in the same league as the movies is quite entertaining. It most definitely has its up and downs though. There are a few stand out eps with the rest being enjoyable. But hey, it's Freddy Krueger!

There are so many critics... who are you people the ghosts of the greatest Shakespearean thespians of all time or something? If any of you are so good I'd like to see you act in one of these- or better yet write one. And you are the same people who criticize movie stars for their performances. So who is a good actor? I think these are great little stories and the acting fits the intent of the show and the scope of the stories.

Yeah it as great to have Freddy Krueger as himself hosting this show that had its ups and downs with episodes but it was great and enjoyable to watch though. I was a fan of the show when it was on back in the day.

You have to be born in either the early 80' or 1970's to probably remember this show since most who know it we either teenagers or preteens at the time it aired. I was probably about 8 or 9 years old and use to catch it from time to time late at night without my parents knowing it. It was an alright show that definitely had some creepy moments but from what I remember it wasn't anything groundbreaking or special. The episode I remember was one where Freddy was fighting some twin sisters and upon one twin waking up saw the other one bloody dead in her bed, then another one where some kid saw some serial killer kill someone at his school and trying to figure out who the killer was, a freddyless killer. Now keep in mind I saw these episodes probably around 1989 or 1990 so my memory might be wrong about the episodes.
shareWell at the time when Freddy's Nightmares first aired I was 16 years old and watched this when it was on late at night on a Saturday nights in my bedroom while my parents were out in the family room watching something else.
I liked this show and miss it a lot. I thought that if they would have involved Freddy Krueger a little more then possibly the show would have lasted longer. I would not complain that he hosted the show though.
It is better than someone else doing that you know.

I love the series, people complain that Freddy is not in all of them but I like the ones he's not in they are good and creepy :)
Any fan of the later funny Freddy will like this series I think.
