..I really enjoyed watching these!! I never got to watch them when they were live so It was quite the experience watching them now. I felt they were quite a telling example of what kinds of fears the "80s" culture had on society and youth and real world events...this became all but lost in the second season, which is why I actually had to stop about 4 episodes in. Add the horrible makeup'd "hammy" Freddy and yeah, no desire to continue season 2 at all , but man, Season 1, I would sooo own them!!! I plan to hunt down some better versions(The weird sound on the chillers is annoying as is the commericals and fwd/rewind on the bootleg copies my brother ordered)or wait for them to re-air or be released, but I really only want season 1.

Anyone else feel this way about the series??? And how edited are the chiller episodes if at all???

I like both seasons, but yeah...season 1 was darker, creepier and more abstract. The way Freddy would present himself was weirder. Whereas season 2 was a little glossier and campier.

Yeah, thats sooo what I liked about it. Freddy was totally creepy!! I even started getting a bit scared while watching them all back to back in the middle of the night. That theme sets a great mood, maybe I should give the second season more of a shot, but man, losing that "darker" vibe really killed it for me...maybe I need to see Freddys Dead, then go back and see the second season...might help to seperate the two and get in the right state of "freddy". ;)
