The soundtrack

Great music throughout, much Motown and other '60's music. The one I'm looking for is the number and artist playing while McMurphy and Dodger are dancing at Cherry's wake. Sort of a slow bluesy number. Any clues out there? Would be greatly appreciated.

The only songs i remember from that episode are one with McMurphy and Dodger
talking before the wake called a whiter shade of pale by Procol Harum.
And the song with everyone dancing at the wake I think is called the stroll
by the Diamonds. I hope that helps.

Just received a copy of The Diamonds "Little Darlin' 25 Greatest Hits" today in the mail. You were right, it's "The Stroll". Great tune! Thanks! From the liner notes it made #4 on the hits chart in 1958.

Does anyone happen to know the name of the song played during the ending credits? I've looked all over, but I can't find it...

Hi does anyone know what the song is called in"china beach" sung by Jimi Hendrix. It is the bit in the movie where the helicopter is flying past.

reply

it's not a jimi hendrix song, it's the rolling stones, "Paint it black."
