China Beach from Purple Hearts
did China Beach get its inspiration from the movie Purple Hearts?
shareAwesome that somebody else picked up on the similarity of that movie and that series! My guess is that there had to have been some kind of inspiration - these are the only two portrayals of women service-members in Vietnam that I'm aware of. China Beach came out only 4 years after Purple Hearts, and interestingly, both were released by Warner Bros.
