Pricey DVD Set Coming From Time-Life in April 2013!!

61 Episodes for $199.99=No Way!!

Keep in mind that "The Man From Uncle" and "Get Smart" box set collections seriously de-valued after their Time-Life releases..You can buy "The Man From Uncle" on Ebay for $119.99 it originally sold on Time-Life for $269.99 and "Get Smart" Collection on Amazon and Ebay for around $59.99, and it originally sold for $199.99 at Time-Life..

You buy China Beach now on DVD and you will lose close to 2/3 of its value if you decide to resell it..

My Opinion is to wait and pick it up when the smoke settles..

You beat me to it. I was excited when I read the news on The Digital Bits, but $200, for only 62 episodes? Seriously? How many sets are they expecting to sell? Rip off.

As a baby-boomer aged fan I may wish for a lower price, but am willing to buy it at that price. It's not your average drama. Maybe someone will duplicate this version and then set it on Ebay for a lower price, who knows. After waiting so long, I'm anxious to re watch this ground breaking and dramatic show.

I remember watching it on ABC when it first aired. I was around 17 or 18. It was such a great show, I've thought about it all these years. I also am a huge fan of Dana Delaney & Marg Helgenberger. $200 is too steep though. If it was on blu-ray, I might pay around $100.

In this economy you are finding a lot of the Blu Ray and DVD releases dropping in price quite rapidly. I am also a fan of Dana Delany and China Beach, but I have been burned twice by Time-Life. In addition look at the Six Million Dollar Man Boxsets; Time-Life put out a release on the complete series for $279.99 and right now you can pick them up on Amazon and Ebay for about $26.99 per season.

I bet that within a few months after release Amazon will start releasing individual seasons for about $24.99 Each..

My instinct is to wait..
