Question on wide retail release

From what I understand, StarVista/TimeLife has exclusive rights to sell China Beach for about a year.

Does anyone know when Amazon and other retailers will be selling the entire series set, and if it will be at a lower price? If the price will be the same, I might as well purchase it now.

And I found this little tidbit too:

According to TVShowsonDVD.com individual seasons will be available on Amazon in the fall, but will not include the 2 disc special features.

What you just described is accurate to the best of my knowledge. If you want to save money, I would wait and see what appears on the secondary market (used/like new copies on Amazon or ebay).

I bit the bullet and bought it from Time/Life, and I used the payment plan so it won't be too bad. I don't trust the wide release not having the extras.

I've been wanting this set forever, so I ordered the Time/Life set. They had a coupon code for 10% off, so I got it for $180. For four seasons, that comes out to $45/season, and when you think about it, it's not a whole lot more than season sets of Game of Thrones, and such. Worth it to me.

I've been waiting for this show to come out on DVD forever too. I didn't want to wait any longer so I also bought it from Time/Life on the payment plan. I don't regret it one bit! I received it today and am already watching them. I never got to see the final season when it was airing and it was my favorite tv show.
